If you want to view the next solar eclipse but do not have any special glass, then do not fret. Sunglasses will not help protect your eyes against the sun’s rays. ![]() After some positioning, you should be able to see a projection of the eclipse inside the box. When the eclipse is happening, look through the tin-foil viewing hole and point your box toward the sun.Tape the tin foil over the open right-side rectangle on the top of the box so that the viewing hole is in the middle.You can use a pen to make the hole in the foil. In the center of the square, poke a small hole.Now take your tin foil and make a square, folded over a few times.For the top of the cereal box, cut out the side side flaps so that you have only a center flap.If you need a safe way to view the eclipse but don't have a pair of legitimate eclipse glasses, a solution could be hiding in your pantry. Put two pieces of tape on the white piece of paper, open the cereal box and tape your paper to the bottom of the box, on the inside of the box.
